Assuming,
(a) he buys goods worth of $₹100$ for $₹80$ ($20\%$ fraud at the time of purchase)
(b) he sells goods worth of $₹100$ for $₹120$ ($20\%$ fraud at the time of selling)

Total cost price $=80$
Total selling price $=120$

overall profit $=\dfrac{(120-80)×100\%}{80}=50\%$
