You can use in both ways. If you use as you said,

CP of 1Kg 2nd kind rice (5.7)                      CP of 1Kg 1st kind rice(7.2)
 
                                           Mean(6.3)
7.2-6.3 =0.9                                                 6.3-5.7=0.6


i.e., 2nd kind rice : 1st kind rice = 0.9 : 0.6 = 3 : 2

or,  required ratio = 1st kind rice: 2nd kind rice  = 2 : 3
like 0 dislike 0
